Manga Order

Just placed an order with Yesasia for 4 CH manga I mentioned, Cross Game 6, ARIA 9, Suzuka 14 and Pastel 15. The manga cost US $18.46 while the shipping cost $14.95 (still painful even when I have $6.88 credit for use).

Yesasia statistic: US$465.96 purchase since Nov 2005. Breakdown, $429.96 all free shipping while recent purchases of $36 cost shipping of 22.43 (Darn). Yesasia credit generated $46.34. Miss the good days when CH manga was eligible for free shipping....

P/S: Currently playing Gundam Seed Destiny Omni vs Zaft II Plus mission mode (a bit old, I know). I should be completing FFXII (last stage) but got glued on GSD. There's more side quest to FFXII but .....

Why didn't you just order another book to get free shipping?

Starting this year, all chinese manga are not eligible for free shipping (Many didnt know this). So no matter how many you purchase, even if you managed to qualify for free shipping with other item, they will still charge you the shipping for the manga.

I miss the good old time where I can accumulate all sort of item and go for free shipping. :(

parker: Are you refering to Yesasia?? For 14 manga at yesaisa, shipping to Australia would cost about $39.85. South-east asia would be around $16-20. HK would be around $5 even for express. So I'm wondering if you're ordering from Yesasia.

I got suzuka 1-12 while it's still free shipping. Paid $2.18 for V13 and about $2.01 for V14. So total shipping for Suzuka 1-14 is $4.19. Think you beat me????? ^o^

Nice to see another Suzuka fan supporting Kouji Seo's work. ^^

parker: I see. Yesasia have pretty darn good shipping deal for US and Canada shipping. Even priority only cost around $19. So did you order the CH or JP version?

Nice to meet you and thanks for the encouragement.

I ordered the CH version. I can only read CH. Took one year Japanese in High School, but haven't practice or used it here in the US. Maybe someday when I have time, I'll pick up Japanese again.

that's pretty costly for you. i purchased 4 HK mangas in January from YA. cost me about 20 bucks and shipping was 8 bucks. I also had a 5.00 coupon, so it wasn't too bad and the fact i'm in Canada. U should probably check other CHN stores instead of import-friendly stores like YA. Or get family to get mangas for ya, cuz that's seriously a rip off to have to pay almost double.

R8: Apparently and jealously US & Canada shipping is alot cheaper. I probably would send it to HK next time and ask my friend to mail it to me.
